AISTER delivers the first unit of the HS60, a pioneer interceptor worldwide for the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard

Designed from scratch and with a completely innovative development, the prototype of the HS60 interceptor is now ready to start operating in Algeciras. The vessel, designed by AISTER at its Moaña shipyard, is designed to combat illegal immigration, drug trafficking and organized crime, and the truth is that the sea trials carried out in the Vigo estuary yielded more than satisfactory results. .
Top speed and maneuverability are its two strengths. Thanks to its experience in the construction of interceptors and a meticulous development of the project, AISTER has been able to far exceed all the expectations set. At 18 meters long and 4.5 meters wide, the HS60 comfortably exceeds 60 knots at top speed with its two inboard engines of 1,800 hp each, which drive two waterjets. The design of the prototype is the result of a great effort in design, engineering, search for performance, safety and comfort.
The interceptor also guarantees a quick and agile response to situations that require a sudden or unexpected maneuver, being able to stop completely in about two boat lengths from maximum speed.
Its speed and maneuverability characteristics make the HS60 the first boat of its kind in the world.
A qualitative and quantitative leap in the evolution of high-speed interceptors
With this new model designed to measure for the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard, AISTER has taken another step in the evolution of high-speed aluminum interceptors.
In addition to its performance in terms of speed and manoeuvrability, the HS60 has an internal steering position and an external one with 360° visibility and is highly habitable and comfortable, both in the cabin and in the engine room, thanks to the high standards of thermal and acoustic insulation.
It is designed for four crew members and has ergonomic seats with anti-shock cushioning, as well as cabins and a kitchen for longer navigations.
